We are excited to announce our partnership with the TAS Farm Innovation Hub in a project that aims to support Tasmanian farmers in enhancing their water efficiency. The initiative focuses on driving meaningful change and fostering resilience amid drought and climate uncertainties.
Sandra Knowles, Director of the TAS Farm Innovation Hub, has expressed her excitement about this collaboration, underlining its pivotal role in enhancing on-farm water management and bolstering agricultural sustainability. She has highlighted that this program will equip farmers with the knowledge and tools necessary to optimise water use, soil health, and landscape management. She also noted that Pinion Advisory was chosen to design and deliver this project due to our deep understanding of Tasmania's agricultural landscape and our well-versed team of experts in agricultural extension, production productivity, engineering, and regulatory affairs.
Jo Jones, Team Leader of Extension and Adoption at Pinion Advisory, emphasised our commitment to farmer-centric solutions and our recognition of the importance of tailoring our approach to meet the diverse needs of Tasmanian farmers.
Over the next 14 months, Pinion Advisory will lead a series of initiatives aimed at equipping Tasmanian farmers with the skills and confidence needed to navigate water scarcity effectively. Our first step is a comprehensive co-design phase, where we'll engage with industry stakeholders to identify key priorities and pain points. By aligning our efforts with the real-world challenges faced by farmers, we can develop tailored extension activities and resources that empower them to make informed decisions about water management.
