The initial task for the successful candidate will be to provide construction supervision for one of our flagship water supply projects in South Australia.
In this role you’ll be the interface between our client and the construction team. The role will involve a great mix of site visits and office-based work.
Going forward, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with our industry leading team on irrigation and water supply projects across Australia. Our engineers work across the full spectrum of engineering, from feasibility and design, through to project management and construction.
Who are we looking for?
Pinion Advisory is looking for an engineer with minimum three years’ relevant experience in the water or civil infrastructure sector. For this role we specifically require experience with construction supervision. Experience in commercial consulting and/or project management will also be valued.
For success in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in civil, mechanical or environmental engineering with a minimum of three years relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in construction supervision
- Demonstrated ability to undertake technical engineering tasks and produce relevant technical documentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a keenness and ability to manage existing clients, build new relationships and work within a team-based environment
- Project management skills. Being self-motivated and taking responsibility for project delivery and financial performance are core expectations
- A high level of computer literacy
- Willingness to undertake field work related to water, engineering and agriculture projects.
This role is based in South Australia but is anticipated that some travel (inter and intrastate) will arise. You will require a driver’s licence.

Who are we looking for?
We are currently seeking an intern CAD drafter to join our friendly team. The applicant may be a school leaver or someone seeking a career in the water industry. Working across a diverse range of projects, the successful applicant will have an interest and technical aptitude for drafting, a willingness to learn and the ability to problem solve.
This role will provide support to senior consultants and project managers by developing accurate drawings in a timely manner. The right candidate must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
The drawings will depict a wide variety of infrastructure and types of piped water systems that may include civil, mechanical and irrigation elements. This position may require occasional on-site attendance to undertake auditing and surveying work.
This is a permanent position. Following a minimum 12 months as intern, and as skills develop, there is potential for continuous growth in both responsibilities and roles within Pinion Advisory’s water team.
The right person for this position will have:
- A growth mindset with an aptitude and willingness for learning
- Minimum of successful completion of year 12
- An interest and aptitude for a CAD drafting role
- Skills in MS Office suite and Autodesk products (desirable)

Who are we looking for?

We encourage candidates with experience in irrigation design, irrigation operations, project management and/or irrigation construction and contracting to apply.
