Who are we looking for?

Pinion Advisory is looking for a senior consultant – agribusiness, with five years' relevant experience in in a similar role. We encourage candidates with experience in consulting, business and strategic planning and project management to apply.

For success in this role, you will require:

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as agricultural science, agribusiness, finance, business, commerce or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of farm business management and analysis
• Demonstrated experience in business development
• Demonstrated experience in business and strategic planning
• Demonstrated experience in project management in a commercial environment
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills with the capacity to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures

Whilst this role is based in Tasmania it is anticipated that some travel, both inter and intra state, will arise. You will require a driver’s licence.

Pinion Advisory is growing. We are looking for a motivated consultant to lead our irrigation business in NSW/ACT.  

In this role you’ll work alongside industry leaders and lead your own projects, work with existing clients on their exciting projects and develop your own relationships to shape your own future. Key clients to be serviced by this role include local government, sporting clubs, racing bodies, architects, developers, engineers, agricultural businesses and government authorities.

While the focus of this role is to maintain and build new business related to irrigation design and consultancy in NSW/ACT, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist with growth across Pinion Advisory’s service areas of agribusiness, water and environment.

The role will involve a great mix of field and office-based work. The successful candidate will be on the ground developing solutions with clients whilst drawing on technical support from our experienced design and drafting team.

Who are we looking for?

Pinion Advisory is looking for a customer focused, commercially oriented consultant with knowledge and experience in irrigation design or urban water management. We encourage candidates with experience in irrigation design, irrigation operations, project management and/or irrigation construction and contracting to apply. Demonstrated interest in water efficiency or green infrastructure design will be highly regarded.

For success in this role, you will require:

• Demonstrated experience in a relevant role.
• Demonstrated project management experience in a commercial environment.
• Demonstrated experience in client service and relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a keenness and ability to manage existing clients, build new client relationships and work within a team-based environment.
• Ability to work autonomously, while interacting with colleagues located around Australia.
• A high level of computer literacy. Experience in GIS and CAD will be considered favourably, but not essential.
• Certificate level 4 or Diploma of Irrigation and/or Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) accreditation. Experience in commercial irrigation design and/or management will be viewed favourably.

While the location of this role is flexible, you will require a driver’s licence and be prepared to do some travel.

Pinion Advisory is looking for technical officer (TO) to support our lead water engineer currently based in Wondai. Our engineer is busy designing pipelines, dams and irrigation systems and this new TO role will support this work.

Tasks may include but will not be limited to:

• Coordination of logistics associated with field work.
• Undertaking field work related to water, engineering and agriculture projects (e.g. assisting with surveys).
• Office administrative support, data entry and assistance with preparation of reports.
• Some travel (up to a week at a time) for field work.

A background in irrigation, mechanical or civil systems would be advantageous, but is not essential.
