The Jim McColl Award is bestowed annually when a candidate exemplifies outstanding dedication and impact in agricultural consulting. It honours young consultants under 40 who excel in their field and are committed to advancing agriculture and maintaining the highest ethical standards. James' receipt of this award underscores his significant achievements and the respect he commands among his peers and clients.

James' journey with Pinion Advisory began in 2012 when he joined as an industry placement student. After obtaining his Bachelor of Business (Agriculture) from Marcus Oldham in 2013, he quickly moved up the ranks. He recently became a Partner, now leading what many know as the farm business management service area. This role involves guiding farmers in improving their business operations and sustainability practices, making a real difference in the farming community.

Reflecting on his career, James added, "My journey in agribusiness consulting has been marked by diversity and enriched by the many inspiring individuals I've had the privilege to meet along the way. I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to my team at Pinion Advisory, who have not only supported my professional growth but have also become my friends. The culture of innovation, teamwork, client focus and mutual support at Pinion Advisory is exceptional."

His extensive involvement in various consulting activities, including evaluating client businesses and spearheading major industry projects, has made him a pivotal figure at Pinion Advisory. James is also known for his leadership on advisory boards and his active role in strategic business planning, further illustrating his dedication to advancing the agricultural industry. Moreover, his commitment to mentoring new graduates shows his dedication to nurturing the next generation of agricultural leaders.

James is enthusiastic about the future, noting, "I look forward to working through the future challenges and opportunities that we will face in agriculture. It is an extremely exciting, dynamic and close-knit industry, requiring equal parts, strong clarity and direction, combined with excellent people in all roles."

We at Pinion Advisory are proud of James and his achievements. His innovative thinking and relentless commitment have significantly impacted our success. This award not only recognises his hard work and expertise but also highlights the esteem in which he is held by his colleagues and clients.

Please join us in congratulating James on this outstanding achievement. His future in agricultural consulting shines brightly, and we are excited to see his continued contributions to the industry and our company.

Congratulations, James, on this well-deserved recognition!
