This case study video follows the implementation of a new centre pivot on a greenfield site from development through to the end of the first irrigation season at Pinion client’s Scott Atkins’ property ‘Jubilee (‘The Birds’ block) in Western Creek.
Hear from Scott why they decided to explore installing new irrigation at this site, the wins and challenges experienced throughout the process, and the benefits the new irrigation has provided the business. Scott also highlights the key design factors that were taken into account when developing the irrigation site to enable livestock finishing under irrigation, as well as his reflections on how the development evolved over the course of the implementation of the new infrastructure.
This case study was part of a recently completed project supported by the TAS Farm Innovation Hub, through funding from the Future Drought Fund from the Australian Government.
